White Fillings

Even children who brush and floss regularly can still develop cavities. If your child has teeth in tight contact with one another or with deep grooves on the chewing surfaces, he or she will have a higher risk of developing cavities. But getting your child's cavities filled doesn't have to be stressful.

At Little Smiles Dental, we offer the latest generation of high-quality tooth-colored fillings for your child. Composite tooth-colored fillings provide a viable and attractive alternative to silver (or amalgam) fillings.

Composite resin fillings are tooth-colored fillings that create a more natural appearance. These subtle restorations blend in naturally with surrounding teeth. They can be used on either front or back teeth and provide good durability and resistance to fracture. Composite resin fillings can become stained from certain foods or drinks.

If your child has a tooth that requires a filling, we will first remove the decayed tooth material, clean the affected area, and then fill the cleaned-out cavity with a filling material. This filling will help prevent further decay by sealing any cracks or spaces where the bacteria might enter.

Your child has a choice of tooth filling materials. Dr. Nidhi will work with you and your child to determine which material is best for him/her, depending on the extent of decay, surfaces involved and the location of the filling.
